19 on the Park presents Jason Wilson's SUMACH ROOTSSunday, January 25, 2019

  • Jason Wilson presents Sumach Roots: musical vignettes about the Upper Canadian experience across history. The suite surveys – among other stories – Elizabeth Posthuma Simcoe’s diaries from York c.1793-96; The Irish Famine’s effect on an Upper Canadian nurse in 1847; and the lesser known Toronto fire of 1902 that claimed five firemen. Dr. Wilson is uniquely positioned to present such a musical work given his track record as both an award-winning musician and as a best-selling Canadian historian. 19 on the Park & Motus O Dance Theatre Junior Company Present CIRCUS TERRIFICO a special Family Day PresentationMonday, February 18, 2019

  • We first meet our three sideshow performers boarding the train to their next show. A case of vanishing tickets, however, thwarts their plans and strands them on the platform. It takes every trick in the book (and their suitcases!) to create an impromptu show to raise money for new tickets. And it works! As the Station Master watches the antics of these 3 enigmatic clowns, he's drawn into their mayhem and magic! This delightful Motus O Dance Theatre classic is presented by the next generation of performers, under the careful tutelage of the Motus O Dance Theatre veterans.

19 on the Park Summer Patio Series: LION BEAR FOX an open air concertFriday, August 16, 2019

  • Harken the era of the man band! Three huge voices join in mighty harmony to tell the truth through compelling story, honest narrative and unbridled passion. Performing gripping dynamic songs with a genuine sincerity rarely heard this side of the 2000's. A Lion Bear Fox show is a collection of intimate moments shared through songs about honest hope, sorrow, love and joy. Stompy blues rock grooves can suddenly give way to hushed fold passages woven together by three whispers speaking as one. In February 2017, they released their new album Battle of Me on Elbow Room Recordings. Christopher Arruda (Lion), Cory Woodward (Bear) and Ryan McMahon (Fox) are a musical force of nature, three personalities, three men finding their way-finding warmth in a world full of steel.
