The first Toronto Undergraduate Jazz Festival is taking place at the Distillery District in Downtown Toronto from June 5-7 and features over 100 talented student jazz performers from across the GTA. They will be joined by many big names in the scene who have been recognized on both a national and international level on both the main stage, as well as through running master classes.
The Toronto Undergraduate Jazz Festival's fulfilling purpose is to give both paid gigging opportunities to young musicians and volunteer work to those in the local community who wish to help make this event happen. As a newly formed not-for-profit organization, this event has been made possible by both private donations, as well as a number of partners who share the same vision to see the up and coming jazz musicians of today assembling their artistic opportunities and learning from the jazz greats of our time.
