Theatre by the Bay presents The Cenotaph ProjectFive Points TheatreJuly 17-28, 2019

  • The Cenotaph Project is a new play inspired by Clint Lovell's The Boys From Barrie.

In the Fall of 2018, Theatre by the Bay artists worked with Eastview drama students to investigate the legacy of WWII means in 2019. By analysing the stories of real soldiers who fought for their country, these students, through their creativity, lifted their stories off the page. The Cenotaph Project is an homage to their work, and an investigation of how we keep our history alive - even generations after the events have passed.

Shantero Productions presents The Comic Strippers - 19+ OnlyGeorgian TheatreSaturday, October 5, 2019

  • The Comic Strippers are a fictitious male stripper troupe, played by a cast of some of Canada’s best improvisational comedians. These guys try to be sexy… it just comes out funny. Constantly grooving and gyrating, in between scenes they banter with the crowd and perform their sexylarious twist on improv sketches. They sing, they “dance;” these guys are oiled up and ready to make you laugh. Women often say the most attractive thing about a man is his sense of humour - so ladies, these stripped-down comedians are sure to make your head explode. And not to worry, gentlemen, this is definitely a parody of male strippers. “A show suitable for both men and women… an entertaining ride where anything goes.” - Rip It Up Magazine

  • For almost three decades, HOTEL CALIFORNIA has been re-creating the legendary sound of THE EAGLES, and thrilling audiences all over the world. The band set the bar in 1986, and they've remained the industry leading substitute for The Eagles ever since. Playing to huge outdoor and arena audiences, sharing bills with some of rock's legends, and going places no tribute band has gone before. A long run by any measure, but it begs the question - what makes HOTEL CALIFORNIA so special? Well, incredible lead vocal similarity, intensely accurate instrumental work, soaring harmonies, and top flight live performances, just for starters. These are the band's hallmarks, and the foundation on which their reputation has been built. With over a century of collective professional experience in the band today, they're still going stronger than ever!
